Abstract

No part of the world including the education system is untouched by the effect of COVID-19,Even though universities have been trying to deliver online courses before this pandemic, online classroom teaching using digital tools has emerged as a positive outcome of this crisis. Educational institutions have suspended campus teaching classes and have shifted to an online mode of lecture delivery to safeguard the endurance of teaching-learning courses. This study aims to determine the impact of an enforced online education system on students learning ability in this epidemic situation. The scope of the study is limited to find out the teacher's perception of changed teaching patterns in the lockdown situation. Online courses list of educational presentations, platforms, and resources have been developed by keeping in mind that this will facilitate student learning, provide social care and interaction, and bring positivity among students, parents, and teachers during periods of the university and educational institution closure. Results demonstrate that technology-empowered tools like Artificial intelligence and Video Conference and online platforms for sharing document files, conducting class meetings, and lecture delivery in association with online facilities and platforms like Coursera, Bloomsbury, and EBSCO, etc. are pretty helpful in enabling virtual learning among students. Seventy-three percent of the higher education faculty members have positively accepted online learning tools in this epidemic situation. They are happy to create YouTube channels for sharing their lecture-recorded video lectures with the students. Results are very much supportive of the fact that in the current crisis transformation of education, learning instructions and materials from face-to-face models to Online- Learning in higher education Teaching emerged as a positive outcome of this global outburst.
