Abstract
Exports are crucial to creating a robust economy that supports the nation. Several nations do their best efforts to outperform the global competition and build a reputation as a significant global exporter. In the case of India, the country was a significant exporter of a variety of items during the ancient and mediaeval periods. But, following colonization, India continued to export only raw materials and shifted to becoming a significant importer of finished goods. The Indian economy was so severely abused by this pumping and dumping that India found it impossible to export the products that made it unique. Notwithstanding all these issues, India waged the economic battle, developed a number of laws and regulations, formed special economic zones, and—most importantly—built a name for itself as a global software powerhouse. Nowadays, India is mostly recognized as a nation of IT specialists. India has contributed to exports with the aid of special economic zones and ITs, which has eventually benefitted its economy.
