Abstract
The stability of India’s manufacturing industry and the rights of its workers have been helped in part by labour unions over time. Still, due to globalization, privatization and improvements in technology, their impact and way of working are now less effective. Trade unions find it challenging to match the ways work is done, new technologies and what workers need. It does not conduct any research studies and instead highlights useful strategies for enhancing labour union management. It focuses on developing reforms in leadership, management, monetary openness, worker training and joining forces between unions and managers. If labour unions upgrade their work and functions, they can work with the industry to help India’s economy grow and prosper.
