While the pandemic triggered the shift towards remote work, the post-pandemic era has transformed these practices into permanent features of recruitment and retention strategies. This study investigates the current hiring challenges in the IT sector, including global talent shortages, rising competition for niche skills like AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and data science, as well as evolving employee expectations such as flexibility, wellbeing, and purpose-driven work.
