THE EFFECT OF EMPLOYING AUTHENTIC VIDEO PROJECTS ON EFL (ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE) STUDENTS' MOTIVATION TO LEARN ENGLISH

Abstract
As authentic video projects are seen as powerful tools for measuring motivation, the purpose of this study is to find out how EFL students perceive using them as a method for learning English. In this qualitative study, thematic analysis was employed, and 10 students were chosen for semi-structured interviews. According to the research, authentic video projects is advantageous as the content is relatable and realistic, and it also covers a wider spectrum of linguistic abilities.
The students acknowledged that regardless of their existing level of ability, this technique of studying English allowed them to improve their skills. By practicing writing script and recording voice-overs, they were also able to advance their listening and speaking abilities. Because of this, the students used authentic video projects to learn English in a more creative way. The findings show that authentic video projects is very adaptive and successful overall.
