Mediating Role of Organizational Commitment Between Performance Appraisal and Employee Performance: A Study of Saudi Arabian Employees

Abstract
This research study examines the mediating role of organizational commitment in the relationship between performance appraisal and the performance of Saudi Arabian employees. Performance appraisal, a crucial aspect of performance management, serves as a mechanism to evaluate and provide feedback on an employee's job performance. Data of 234 employees from numerous different manufacturing businesses were collected throughout regions of Saudi Arabia. The stronger commitment generated among employees would boost the organizational effectiveness by maintained skilled and experienced people thus lowering turnover intents and increase job performance. Findings from this study will contribute valuable insights to the existing body of knowledge on organizational behavior and human resource management in the Saudi Arabian context. The results may have implications for managers, policymakers, and practitioners seeking to enhance employee performance through effective performance appraisal and employee engagement strategies.
