Abstract

The scale of workforce transitions set off by COVID-19’s influence on worker trends increases the urgency for businesses and policymakers to take steps to support workers in ways that leads to a brighter future of work. The focus of management has shifted towards workers centric management practices, and to make the workers feel important in organizations so as to bring the sense of belongingness and cohesion. Marry Parker Follett's management theory (Fox, 1968) talks about Power With. Powering with their team is better than power over them; this way, each member feels just as valued as the next. Collective Pride becomes important in order to bring the workers in front and center for a brighter future of work. The study examines the nature of power relationships for creating collective pride at workplace in values based organizational behavior research. A total of 509 respondents from 5 PSUs participated in this research. It is significantly reported that work should not always be perceived as an economic activity, the intrinsically driven faith in self & others, self-withdrawal & self-settledness, and calmness of mind factors of Virtue Based Power Relationship is found to be conducive to cultivating a workplace suffused with belongingness and cohesion.
