Abstract
India's education system underwent a significant transformation with the “New Education Policy (NEP) 2020,” which aims to change how information is taught and acquired in the nation. Numerous factors have an impact on Indian education. In order to encourage students to grow in their ability to think critically, solve problems, and be creative, places a strong emphasis on a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to education. Graduates should be better prepared as a result of the change from rote learning to a more thorough learning strategy. It makes several important advances, such as adopting a 5+3+3+4 framework that ensures early childhood care and education as well as a flexible approach to learning. It encourages flexibility and choice in the curriculum, enabling students to choose subjects of their interest and pursue vocational education at a young age, lessening the stress associated with traditional exams.Furthermore, through technology-driven initiatives, the strategy aims to increase access to high-quality education, particularly in rural and isolated locations. Additionally, it encourages the creation of research institutes and international collaboration, which furthers research and innovation. By encouraging a more student-centric, adaptable, and creative learning environment that equips students for the challenges of the 21st century, it is positioned to have a transformational impact on education in India. Sample of 229 respondents from education sector were considered by the researcher to know the factors that determines “Salient Features of New Education Policy 2020” and its impact on education. The study found “significant impact of New Education Policy 2020 on Education.”
