Electronic Health Records in Healthcare- A Bibliometric Analysis

Abstract
Healthcare providers are changing their records with electronic health records (EHRs) for better patient care by enhancing all elements such as efficiency, privacy, security, efficacy, patient-centeredness, communication, timeliness, etc. An electronic health record can be successful, if implemented well with IT networks, software, and hardware to increase efficiency, quality improvement, safety, and lower consumer costs. Therefore, the present study helps to incorporate articles found in the literature and utilized bibliometric methods to examine the scholarly literature on "Electronic health records (EHRs)" that have been published in PubMed database distributed from 2010 to 2021 of 37 papers, software Biblioshiny is used to analyze and present the information. This study can guide for new applications for utilizing electronic health records in the healthcare services. The findings show how EHR research increased over time, including the types of documents, productive nations, and organizations, as well as the most pertinent sources of publications and patterns.
