Abstract

Indigenous tourism has emerged as a significant contributor to sustainable development, offering unique opportunities for cultural exchange, economic growth, and environmental conservation. This paper explores the multifaceted impact of indigenous tourism on local communities, examining how it can serve as a catalyst for preserving cultural heritage, enhancing community well-being, and promoting sustainable practices. Key themes include the empowerment of indigenous peoples, the role of government and policy, and culturally sensitive tourism practices. The findings underscore the importance of collaboration between indigenous communities, governments, and the private sector to create a balanced and respectful tourism ecosystem.
