Main Article Content
Abstract
Business management education focuses primarily on honing the analytical abilities and specialised domain skills, often relegating literature to a marginal role. However, literature can enhance critical thinking, communication, cultural sensitivity and empathy which are much needed for global citizens. This study explores the challenges business management students in India and selected European countries face when navigating the landscape of literature as part of their curriculum, highlighting cultural, educational and institutional differences. In this study, data was gathered through questionnaire from 200 students of India and 200 students of Europe and analysed using ANOVA. Findings indicate that Indian students struggle with language, relevance of literature to the study of management, comprehension and application; while European students struggle to manage interdisciplinary demands.
